Fleetwood Mac is one of the most iconic and influential rock bands of the 20th century, known for their distinctive blend of blues, pop, and rock music. The band was formed in London in 1967 by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood, and bassist John McVie and underwent several lineup changes before achieving global success in the mid-1970s with the addition of Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Lindsey Buckingham.
Their 1977 album Rumours is still one of the best-selling albums of all time, featuring timeless hits like “Go Your Own Way,” “Dreams,” and “Don’t Stop.” Marked by emotional depth and musical innovation, Fleetwood Mac’s legacy continues to resonate with fans across generations.
Fans of Fleetwood Mac will be excited to know that the Odyssey Festival is heading to Maryborough on Saturday, July 26. Billed as the ultimate tribute festival, the lineup features Seventh Wonder, performing the timeless hits of Fleetwood Mac.

I had the pleasure of catching up with Amanda Canzurlo, known on stage as Bloom. The talented singer-songwriter has been touring nationally since 2016 with a range of tribute shows, and Seventh Wonder is one of them.
Former Fleetwood Mac co-manager Denis Dunstan manages Seventh Wonder, and there are lots of plans to take the show around the world. Currently backed by a four-piece string section, they plan to tour with a chamber orchestra next year, and eventually, a full symphony.
Bloom laughs as she shares, “My husbands in the show too, and we nearly divorce every time we choose the setlist!” With so many songs to choose from, Rumours remains a cornerstone of their performance. “There’s something magical about that record that transcends generations.
“Each member of Fleetwood Mac has a unique identity, yet when they all came together, they create such a wonderful sound.
“The listeners may think that Dreams is simple with just a few chords, but there’s so much going on. The harmonies, the percussion, even little surprises you catch after the hundredth listen.”
Bloom says, “Seventh Wonders performing Fleetwood Mac is not a tribute show as such, but more a celebration of their incredible music.”
Bloom sings both Christine and Stevie’s parts and dives deep into each song. “Christine’s the hook queen—her songs loop in your head. Stevie’s are mystical, emotional—Silver Springs is a perfect example of that, she has such freedom in her songs. I spend hours peeling back the layers, trying to honour every nuance, every inflection, trying to connect to the song authentically. That’s the magic.”
“Dreams always gets the crowd singing, we turn it into a bit of a competition,” Bloom laughs. “But The Chain, that one’s electrifying and really gets the audience excited.
“That energy and power is something you have to feel, live. You have to experience it firsthand. I can’t really put it into words.”
Recreating Fleetwood Mac’s sound takes serious effort. The band has researched every layer of the music. “Our keyboard player’s not just playing piano, he’s juggling many things. And our backing vocalist sings, plays guitar, and plays percussion. We had to find the best musicians and vocalists to pull it off.”
Bloom’s voice naturally captures both Stevie’s earthiness and Christine’s softness, but she adds her own emotional depth. “I don’t mimic them; I bring my own connection. I might not have Stevie’s heartbreak, but I’ve had my own. I think as a singer, if you can authentically connect to your emotional turmoil, that is what makes the audience react. That is what touches them and gives them goosebumps.”

For Bloom, one of the most moving moments on stage with Seventh Wonders happened during a show in Mandurah, Western Australia. A man sitting in the front row had bought tickets months earlier for himself and his wife, but heartbreakingly, she passed away before the show. “Someone told us just before the final set,” Bloom recalls. “So, I dedicated a song to him. The whole room felt it. It was emotional, and I don’t think I will ever forget that moment.”
Connecting with audiences like that is why she keeps performing. In Melbourne, a die-hard Stevie Nicks fan told her Gold Dust Woman and Silver Springs gave him chills. “He said, ‘You nailed it without trying to be Stevie.’ That meant so much.”
Even Mick Fleetwood has given his personal nod to their orchestrated recordings. “If you’d told me years ago Mick would be listening to our versions, I wouldn’t have believed it!”
Bloom’s favourite Fleetwood Mac song to perform, and the one she feels most connected to, is You Make Loving Fun. But, she adds, “I have so many favourite’s. It’s like trying to pick your favourite child! You can’t do that as they are all so different, as are the songs.”
“Landslide,” she says, “takes on a whole new meaning as you get older, and you truly listen to those lyrics.” She admits, “When I hear the strings play that song, usually at soundcheck, before every gig, I cry without fail. There’s just something about that music.” Silver Springs and The Chain round out her top four.
Bloom especially loves performing at festivals, drawn to the bigger energy and the freedom of singing outdoors. “The lineup for Odyssey is incredible and will take you back in time. “Singing songs from way back just for the nostalgia side of it, is great! I love it when people come up to me after shows and say, “You made me feel eighteen again,” or “This song reminded me of this moment in my life,” “I just think that’s so powerful.”
“The whole festival will be a massive ‘70s revival and will be such a fun experience that I’m truly looking forward to.”

Bloom signs off with a special message to all the Fleetwood Mac and Seventh Wonders fans out there with a heartfelt line from Fleetwood Mac’s Songbird:
“And I wish you all the love in the world, but most of all, I wish it from myself.”
