Get Ready for Les Misérables – School Edition at St Mary’s College!
St Mary’s College Presents Les Misérables – School Edition
July 24 – 26 | St Mary’s College Theatre | Directed by Mrs Tracy Wright
Rehearsals are in full swing for one of St Mary’s College’s most ambitious and anticipated productions to date—Les Misérables – School Edition. The iconic melodies of One Day More, At the End of the Day, Look Down, The Innkeeper’s Song, and more are already echoing through the halls as students pour their hearts into every scene and song.
Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Misérables is a powerful story of redemption, love & revolution. At its heart is Jean Valjean (Erik Svensson), a former convict seeking a new life while being relentlessly pursued by the law-abiding Inspector Javert (AJ Keys). Along his journey, Valjean meets Fantine (Maya Haman), a struggling mother, and takes responsibility for her daughter Cosette, portrayed by Olivia and Elise as young Cosette, and Enya Brennan as her older self.
Cosette’s path soon becomes entwined with Marius (Hamish Doonan), a young revolutionary, while the courageous Eponine (Bomi Adebanjo), silently in love with Marius, delivers one of the show’s most touching solos, On My Own.
The cast also features the hilariously devious Thenardier (Max Hodges) & Madame Thenardier (Mia Thomas), the brave young Gavroche (Bodhi), and the bold revolutionary Enjolras (Cooper Page), who leads the charge in the stirring anthem Do You Hear the People Sing?
With a talented cast, unforgettable music, and a story that resonates across generations, this is a production not to be missed.
