The 4th annual Red Nose Fraser Coast Walk to Remember, held at the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre, offers families a place to honour their babies and children, share their stories and connect with others who understand the unique journey of grief.
Organiser Kristy Barbour says the walk is about remembering that love doesn’t end with loss.
“You don’t have to explain your grief to someone who understands. You can simply come as you are, remember your child and know that you are not alone.”
Red Nose CEO Amy Cooper says:
“At our Walk to Remember events, Red Nose aims to bring together families, friends, and support networks, helping to break the stigma surrounding pregnancy, baby, and child loss.”

Families are invited to arrive from 9:30am for a 10am start. The morning will include a Welcome to Country by Aunty Karen Hall, remembrance service, readings, reflections and our symbolic Walk to Remember, along with bubbles, face painting, crafts and more. The service will conclude around 12pm.
Families are then invited to continue to the beach, where at 1pm, floral tributes will be released into the ocean in front of Enzo’s, honouring the children who are forever loved and missed.
Living siblings, extended family and the wider community are warmly invited to join us.
Tickets are $10 and include a pinwheel. Groups of three or more are capped at $30.
Sponsored tickets are available for families experiencing financial difficulty.
