School holiday fun at the Maryborough Markets

Three-legged races, egg and spoon dashes, and lolly giveaways are all part of the Maryborough Markets this week to celebrate the school holidays.

Market coordinator Tom McIntosh said a jumping castle and merry-go-round would also be set up on the City Hall Green on Thursday morning to amuse the youngsters.

He said the markets would also include the usual diverse range of about 100 stallholders on Adelaide and Ellena Streets.

“We have everything from freshly grown local produce, plants seeds and ‘growable’ to beautiful fresh locally grown strawberries currently in season, smoked meats, fresh juice, roasted and blended nuts, German bread freshly baked, German sausages, hot baked potatoes, and roasted kettle popcorn,” Mr. McIntosh said.

“Added to that, we have stallholders selling jewellery, ladies fashion, men’s clothing, t-shirts, toys, linen, trinkets, ice creams, snow cones, and much more.”
