Carols in the Park

The much loved annual regional Christmas Carol event will again be held in Queens Park Maryborough.

This year the Fraser Coast Carols in the Park will be held in conjunction with the Apex Santa Fair, which commences at 2:30pm. The Apex Santa Fair runs from 2.30pm to 5.30pm with kids rides, face painting, jumping castles and more.

The Carols will begin at 5.30 pm, carols commence at 6:30pm with a fireworks finale after 8.00 pm. There will be a full program of entertainment, food stalls will be available, or bring a picnic, rug and/or folding chair. Make sure you keep your eyes open for Santa who will arrive during the night. Candles and glow products will be available for purchase.

A highlight of the festive season, the annual Hervey Bay RSL Carols by Candlelight will commence at 5:30pm with family activities, children’s Christmas carols and a visit from Santa.  The main Carols program starts at 7pm and will feature local musicians, community carol singing,  special activities and a fireworks finale.  Food and drink stalls will be available, so gather the family, bring a blanket and/or folding chair and enjoy the singing under stars. Glo candles will be available for purchase.

Great Family event. Best Carols in the Bay . Sing along with Mansong. Fraser Coast Chorus, Makin Whoopee, Acoustic Jabiru and all our great soloists. Hot and cold food and drinks. Santa gives out free lollies around 7.45 approx.

Carols by Candlelight

In the grounds of the Burrum Heads Christian Community Church

Wednesday, December 20

7pm

Come early and bring a blanket or chairs and have a picnic tea, or enjoy sausage from our Sausage Sizzle for $2 with tea, coffee, or cordial from 6pm. Carols commence at 7pm. Safety candles available for $1 or bring your own torch/lantern. Please join us for supper after the carols.

Christmas in the Park

1.30pm Santa arrives

Free activities for the kids. Fraser Coast Artslink will showcase local music and dance that will be sure to entertain.

Free face painting, free kids workshop, craft and fire twirling by Carbon Ignite and free foam canon, food stalls and rides, market stalls and Fraser Coast Artslink BBQ.

Village Christmas Party

Santa arrives at 6pm on a fire truck.

There will be raffles throughout the afternoon.

Free activities – Jumping castle, water slide, rock climbing, cookie decorating, face painting, bubble wands, tea,coffee, Xmas cake, balloons.

New Years Eve at Hervey Bay

Torquay Foreshore

New Years Eve will be held at the Torquay Foreshore (Bill Fraser Park and Ernie Organ Park) from 4pm to 8pm on December 31. This will be a family friendly event with various activities for the kids, Wide Bay Laser Skirmish, live music, markets and food stalls and the fireworks finale at 8pm.
