If you are a lover of gourmet food, don’t mind a drop of white or red, and enjoy fresh local produce then the Relish Food and Wine Festival is definitely for you. This is a perfect day out for everyone, whether you are a family with kids in tow, a couple in love ready to experiment with new tastes, or flying solo, footloose and fancy free, you are in for some delicious, delectable, and divine dishes.

Maryborough has such a rich, vibrant history and is the perfect location for this ‘MUST DO’ Event. Meander the heritage streets and admire the architecture, as you relax, unwind and experience the many flavours and smells of Relish. Or bring a picnic blanket and lay out on the grass and listen to some live music while enjoying a rich array of food accompanied by a glass of wine. .

The Chefs of the day are:

  • Rocco Turina – Villa Cavour Bed & Breakfast
  • Tom Jack – New Chef at Coast Restaurant and Bar
  • Dan & Steph – EAT at Dan & Stephs – Head chef Adam will also be doing a demonstration.
  • Michael Cox – Muddy Waters Cafe
  • Gavin Chin – The Federal Hotel

There will also be some great Relish Merchandise, (aprons, produce bags and wine bags) available to purchase on the day.

Relish Long Lunch

If you are interested in attending the Relish Long Lunch you had better be quick as these tickets go fast. This is a great opportunity to sit back and let others wait on you while you indulge the senses in every way imaginable. This year, we have The Vinyard, EAT at Dan & Stephs, Coast Restaurant and Bar and Muddy Waters Cafe, each matched with the best South East Queensland Wines.

Sausage King Competition
(Hosted by)  the Australian Meat Industry Council

The Australian Meat Industry Council has been promoting the Sausage King & Best Butchers Burger Competition between Independent Local Butchers for nearly 20 years now. In this time the competition has grown in numbers and quality and is recognised as the number one competition in Australia celebrating amazing butchery skills and the not so humble sausage and burger. Today the sausage and burger is all about quality ingredients, gourmet flavours and amazing tastes. In 2017, the Australian Meat Industry Council and Relish Food & Wine Festival, Fraser Coast are partnering to showcase a gourmet experience, exhibiting the Local Independent Butchers from the Wide Bay / Burnett regions. The competition features 6 categories of sausages and 2 categories of burgers that would make anyone’s mouth water. Be sure to drop by and check out the competition.
