Posthumous recognition for Police Dog Rambo

Posthumous recognition for Police Dog Rambo

One of the region’s fenced off-leash dog parks will be named in honour of Police Dog Rambo, who was killed in the line of duty in June.

“Rambo was killed in the line of duty trying to keep us safe,” Councillor Paul Truscott said.

“We should remember and pay tribute to his service. The memorial will also serve as a reminder of all other police dogs and police officers who have given their lives in the service of their community.”

After consultation with Rambo’s handler and the Queensland Police Service, Council has decided to erect a plaque on one of the region’s fenced off-leash dog parks and rename the park in his honour.
