This exhibition is a continuation of artworks showcasing our great diverse coastline.
Following up from my two previous Regional exhibitions;

Showcasing artworks of the Fraser Coast, Fraser Island and surrounding coastlines. I have taken inspiring images on my camera that I have now recreated into artworks using traditional oil paints, depicting the simplicity of beauty in our native land and sea scapes. This is a collaboration of artworks that I have created in the last few years.
Our world heritage listed Fraser Island, offers a true diversity of stunning white beaches, coloured sands and diverse vegetation. Rainbow beach, Bargara, 1770 and our own Hervey Bay beaches, harbour, pier and surrounding coastlines also offer inspiration for painting.
Sharing these artworks enables people to see themselves in my paintings, reflecting their own stories and memories. People’s lives are essentially very similar, they move forward making different tracks but our feelings and emotions can be the same.
Having grown up on a country farm beside the Condamine River, Artistic elements relating to the landscape were formed from a lifetime of memories from childhood. The life within the landscape, the luminance of colour and play of light, all influences the way I paint.
With an interest in artwork starting back twenty-five years ago, I fell in love with ‘oils’. Over the years my style and techniques have matured,including lots of spatula work.
I have exhibited in various group and solo exhibitions over the last ten years with some achievement awards.

Exhibiting my artworks, I hope to inspire others to reflect on their own memories and take the time to appreciate the surrounds that we all share.
