Dayman Park, Urangan – Hervey Bay

Dayman Park is located on the foreshore in Urangan – off Pulgul St and Dayman St. Between Urangan and the Boat Harbour precinct. It is the perfect spot for a BBQ,  a picnic, or to celebrate that special occasion in style. 

The view is amazing as directly across from the park is round Island, and in the distance, you can glimpse the iconic Fraser Island. 

Dayman Park is a gorgeous place to catch a sunrise or a sunset. 

Round Island

In the upper part of the park, you will find a beautiful monument that pays tribute to English navigator and explorer Matthew Flinders and Lieutenant Joseph Dayman. 

You will also see a memorial commemorating the soldiers and sailors who were brought together to form Z Force during World War II. 

From Dayman park there is a path that will link you all the way to the Sandy Straits Marina and the Hervey Bay Boatclub, it is a beautiful walk. 

Facilities:

Toilets, change facilities, picnic tables, BBQ’s, plenty of parking, playground, wide-open spaces, beach access.
